  Conor Mc Hale      Welcome to my website. I take you being here as an indicator you are looking to adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle, (if you haven’t already), and I applaud you for it. It is by no means an easy task, but is most certainly worth it. I would first just like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my business.

      I am a fully qualified and insured personal trainer based in Birr, Co. Offaly. I work freelance and operate under the name Mc Hale Fitness. I am an ITEC qualified gym instructor and an ACSM certified personal trainer. I also achieved a BSc Hons degree in Sport, Health and P.E. from University of Wales, Bangor and have written numerous fitness articles for a couple of different web sites. These are my qualifications at the time of writing this, I have plans to gain more and strive to continue to learn and develop my education and skills set so I can deliver the best possible service to my clients.

      While I cater to all goals and fitness levels, I specialise in working with weight loss clients, those looking to tone up and beginners. A lot of my experience so far has been with these types of clients and I enjoy helping people become more active, live healthier lifestyles and reach their health and fitness goals. I have experience in training a wide range of clients with various goals, from young men and women, the middle aged, to elderly people. I have also spent time working with AIL side Dolphin Rugby Club as a conditioning coach for their Under 20 side. I encourage a healthy, sensible and balanced approach to fitness and avoid extreme practices and overly strict diets. I advise my clients to view health and fitness as a lifestyle and not just an 8 week crash course in well being. I have found this to be the best approach when looking for sustainable change and lasting results. When I work with a client I do not view it as merely an 8 week job, or however long they are with me for, I view it as setting that client up for life with the knowledge and tools needed to go forward and live the rest of their life in a healthy and active way.
